Multicultural Business Students (MBS) is a prominent Professional Student Business Organization within the Eli Broad College of Business. MBS develops its' students into better business leaders by providing its' members with a variety of resources that emphasize and improve their leadership capabilities. Our members are provided with opportunities to network closely with Fortune 500 companies during the academic year. We take pride in being one of the most diverse student organizations on campus and we expose our members to the diversity they will encounter in the global workforce.
Every other week we bring in a Fortune 500 company to present to our membership about subjects such as:
We are under the Multicultural Business Programs umbrella, alongside Women in Business Students Association, Native American and Hispanic Business Students, and National Association of Black Accountants (MSU Chapter). We provide our membership with "family support", right from the start, through many of our social events, and our General Membership Meetings which are every other Monday. Our members have extraordinary academic support through the fantastic Tutoring Program provided to them by Multicultural Business Programs. The tutors are fellow Multicultural Business Programs members who have excelled in the subject they are teaching by achieving a 3.5 or higher in ACC 201, 202, 300 & 301, ECO 201 & 202, MTH 1825, 103 & 124, STT 315, FI 311, & MKT 317.
We host numerous events such as corporate presentations, leadership retreats, career fairs, leadership symposiums, Annual Holiday Reception, the Annual Case Competition and many more events throughout the academic year.
Multicultural Business Students has a strong family support through our advisors and our membership that we have. We are more than an organization, we are family.
